Chasing the sun as it circles the world on Thursday, 23 March, the lighting community connects over social media in a project theme that unifies us all in a positive social movement. Everyone is welcome to join in the creativity and celebration!
This year’s theme: SHADOW PLAY
The International Association of Lighting Designers is the only global architectural lighting trade association, so ‘Chase the Dark’ provides a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded lighting friends worldwide.
Shadow is a valuable asset in a lighting designer’s toolbox. With the ability to be projected forward or silhouetted when backlit, it is a commonplace technique in storytelling and puppetry in a range of South Asian cultures.

This year we’ll have the pleasure to gather together on the evening of March 23rd.
Doors will open at 18:30. The event will start at 19:00 and end at 21:00.
